Elaine's Bridal Shower

2/20/12
At Chado Tea House in Little Tokyo, next to the Japanese-American museum. Lots of different teas like blackberry-black currant, this white one with champagne, and this strawberry chai-style tea. They all pretty much tasted the same to me.

It was a nice little affair. Me and Torie got second place on two of the games, boo hoo. It was a nice excuse for everyone to get dressed up and feel fancy for the afternoon.

Disneyland w/ Jenny

2/26/12
A fun photo adventure with Jenny. Unfortunately, my lens was dirty so a lot of these pictures are blurry or out of focus. Still had fun!

Floating 2011 (Paramount Edition)

12/3/11 and 12/30/11
Went decorating Paramount's 100th anniversary float. First it was the dry prep stuff. We basically cut petals for two hours and then glued stuff and peeled leaves for the rest of it.

Then deco week was hectic. The end product looked good. Mandeep joined me, my auntie, and my siblings.

Paramount Tree Lighting

12/5/11
After a one-day postponement due to high winds which knocked Paramount powerless (literally), the tree lighting came back full force and was a wonderful time spent around friends and family. I didn't really know what to expect, but I really enjoyed seeing people and talking to new friends. The tree was absolutely beautiful and the snow at the end was a pleasant surprise--it was like Christmas at Disneyland! And it was a really great way to spend time with my aunt :)

Oh, and sorry Santa for stepping on your sleigh. And also a lady with a funny line: "I don't think that Santa could've filled my request anyway, it was a tall order. What I want for Christmas is a 6-foot man!" Haha that lady was funny. Also, somebody making ALL the lights go off by tripping over a single wire! And lots of interesting choices of Christmas music (Kermit the Frog?)

Descanso Gardens

8/25/11
My dad, sister, and I wanted to do something before summer was over so we were about to go to the Huntington Library but we got too late of a start. We got there and then realized we were about to only have like, two hours there and would have to pay $15. So we decided to go to Descanso Gardens instead.

This was a very nice place. It's less manicured than the Huntington Library and is smaller and more woodsy. It was a pretty nice place though. One thing: it was SOOO HOT that day that we left before closing just because we were all dying and I forgot my baseball cap and so did Dana.

Kitten Photo Shoot

10/22/11
Went on a tiny photo shoot to capture Torie with her kittens outside. Michael and Dana were my reflector holders.
