Emergence–Art and Artificial Life

1/7/10
Emergence––Art and Artificial Life at Beall Center. The exhibits recognize you and interact with you! One was a puppy and it would follow you around if it liked you (on a screen), one was like a robot puppy that if it liked you by the look in your eyes, it would wag its tail and put on a show, but if it didn't like you, it would try to kill you. Then there were these lights that if you shined a flashlight on it, they would spin. There was also a thing where you whistle in it and then it whistles it back differently.

Two of the robot puppies were dead and then by the end of the night, the third one ran out of power too. Randomly.

All shot with the 35 mm f/1.8 3200 ISO because it was SO DARK. Also the cute little kid was cute and asked me my name and then showed me the robot puppy but was too scared to go to it himself.

Arboretum with Christina

1/3/10
One last hurrah before I went back to school. Me and Christina hung out at the Arboretum. It was hot and then cold, yes then no, in then out, up then down. Fall colors were just beginning to drift away. We did everything at the Arboretum. There was a LOT of people that day, I don't know why.

Anyway, lots of repeats because I couldn't decide which ones I liked better.
