Leah and her dad took me to the Pasadena Humane Society where they met their new dog Hannah, where a bat-dog spit in my face and barked at me, and where I saw a lot of pit-bull mixes. Then we went to Fairfax to have lunch at Canter's. I got the beef dip and it was pretty good and pretty huge. Afterward, we went to get some stuff from the bakery.
Then we went to the Griffith Observatory. I don't think I'd ever been there before and Leah's dad hadn't been there since the remodel. It was very huge and beautiful, like a mini Taj Mahal. Leah drove there using a scenic route around Hollywood, where we saw a group of Asian protesters at an intersection holding large crosses and shouting over a megaphone how Jesus Christ is our Savior.
It was a bright sunny day and the observatory was a nice end to the day. Me and Leah learned that if a meteorite 2 km wide, hurtling at the earth at 90 mph at a 90 degree angle, the earth will explode. After I got home, I went to the middle school talent show where I videotaped and took pictures of the acts. Yes that is all I will say about that (except there was one good act from an unexpected source, that was pretty cool).
