San Diego Wild Animal Park

8/27/11
Went to the Wild Animal...er...Safari Park and it was awesome! It changed a lot since we had been there last (I think 2005?) Things got a lot more expensive and they upcharged for everything ($6 to go to the front of the line! $5 for premium Cheetah Run seats! $10 to go on the tram tour at all! $4 FRUIT.) Ah well, it goes to a good cause.

The caravan tour was AWESOME. Our tour guide Jeanie and our driver Dani were super cool and super informative. I came away from the day knowing a lot about animals. And the weather was super nice as well. Took A LOT of pictures. Thank you Nikon 70-300!!

Photos of me are either taken by Dana or Michael/Dad (I think?)

[Not shown: dinner at Roy's which was pretty good and fancy, breakfast the next morning with my mom]

Also it was kind of rare to feed them... only a few caravans fed them apples that day because they are so timid and a lot of them just want to sleep in the pond or whatever...

Warning signs that it's gonna kill you: Stomping of the hooves, shorting, spitting, glaring, raised hump or back or whatever. THEN ITS GONNA TOSS ROCKS AT YOU AND CHARGE AT YOU AND KILL YOU. :((

We were going to the cheetah run because it only runs once a day but it was basically all the way across the park and you have to go down a flight of stairs and there was already a crowd so we just stayed/watched from above. Good thing, because we wouldn't have seen anything down there and the cheetah run was pretty lame.. at least frm far away...
